The expert advisory board advises the committee of the Kurt-Weill-Gesellschaft e.V. and supervises the series of the Society. Furthermore, the council, along with the coordination office of the Kurt-Weill-Gesellschaft e.V., plans and organises interdisciplinary or musicological conferences, symposiums or seminars in Dessau that take place during the Kurt Weill Festival.
The advisory board of the Kurt Weill Society in Dessau, Germany, will host an international symposium, „Weill and France“, from 2 to 4 March 2012. The symposium coincides with Dessau's annual Kurt Weill Fest, whose motto in 2012 will be „Paris“.
